Local alternative band The Rev has released a strong six song CD titled Flesh Capsule Mess. The Rev features Erik Johannesen-lead vocals, Frank Nicastro-guitar, Erik Eimiller-drums, Craig Trenchard-guitar/keys and Bob Calabrese-bass. The band has hit on the tried and true formula of writing good structured songs as evidenced here. "Dirty" gets things rolling with a killer guitar hook while the softer building crescendo of "On Mars" shows they are not a one trick pony when it comes to writing and "Sentimentally" and "Sooner Or Later" showcases big drums and guitars.
