This is the ultimate book about Buffalo's beloved Memorial Auditorium. It is crammed with historic photos, text and information about the Aud from its groundbreaking in 1938 to its date with the wrecking ball in 2009 and touches on many of the building's uses from concerts to hockey to basketball and more. Everyone has their favorite Aud moment from Elvis to "Mayday!" and most are offered in a historical timeline for quick reference in the book. Taylor also captures the Aud's date with destiny and had unlimited access to the inside during the demolition. I spent a lot of time in that old building and will be savoring every detail in this book with a twinge of sadness. There is also a separately sold calendar featuring Taylor's photos from the book.
