-For What It’s Worth…- |
By Bob Silvestri
If you’re a fan of classic rock and roll then Strych-9 is the band for you. On their new release For What It’s Worth…(not to be confused with the Buffalo Springfield song by that name) the band, Mike Kramer-lead vocals/guitar, Kenny Densmore-guitar, Thor Hawley-bass, Ron Hirsch-guitar and Mike Boncaldo-drums, employs all the elements of an arena rock band with gruff vocals, loud guitars, thumping bass and crisp drums and cymbal crashes. Their Southern Rock roots show through on the title track and “Can’t Stop The Reign” without the clichés of the genre. The driving “Riff Raff”, “Spectacle” and “Can’t Stop Thinkin” rock like The Headstones. “Wasted” and “Walkin The Line” are also worth mentioning.
