CD Review - By Bob Silvestri

On
their second release The Stars Are Out, Sarah Borges and the Broken
Singles shed some of their Americana roots and embrace their indie rock
side. The ten tracks feature five Borges originals and five cover tunes
and showcase Borges coquettish charms. She covers Smoky Robinson's "Being
with You" with aplomb and does The Ronettes proud on the soulful
"Me and Your Ghost". Other superlatives include the Evan Dando
written "Ride With Me" and the Stephen Merritt penned "No
One Will Ever Love You" along with "Do It For Free" and
"I'll Show You How". To get more information about Sarah Borges
