CD Review - By Bob

bobsilvestri@bestofwny.com Much buzzed about young local singer songwriter Sam Gillam has released his first CD titled Measure of Doubt. In addition to writing the ten tunes he also handled all the instruments, the recording and production on the disc. Gillam has obviously been a student of The Beatles by the heavy Fab Four influence in the music. He even gets on his Lennon pulpit with the political sounding "Whatever It Takes" which is probably the best cut from the disc. A few of the other tracks to check out include "The World has Moved On", "Time Has Come", the title track "Measure of Doubt" and "Side by Side". A very promising talent who I'm sure we'll hear more from. Go to www.myspace.com/samgillam for more information. |
