Boogie
woogie Roots Rock never seems to go out of style. Local artist Pete Worden
and The Hardtimers are doing their part to keep the flame alive with their
disc Catch Me If You Can. Pioneered in the 50’s by artists such as Chuck
Berry and Elvis the music has survived the ages thanks to Link Wray, The
Stray Cats, The Rev. Horton Heat and many others who profess a love of
women, cars and music. The band (Pete Worden-guitar and vocals, Joe Skinner-bass
and Ed Brodbeck-drums) gets the tires squealing right off the bat with
“Crazy Love”, they rumble thru “Mean Machine” while “Undeniable”
finds the boys getting their rave on. Other tracks of interest are the
title track “Catch Me If You Can”, “El Diablo Bossa Nova”, “Baby Rocks”
and “Miss My Baby”. For more on Pete Worden and The Hardtimers go to www.peteworden.com
