Adjectives get thrown around a lot when referring to bands. But the ones heralding The Juliet Dagger, Erin Roberts (guitar and vocals), Leisha Gray (bass) and Josh Heatley (drums), and their new release Turn Up The Death really do fit. Blistering, uncompromising, furiously catchy, tight and electrifying are just a few from their Good Charamel Records press release about the band. Living up to those descriptions are the eleven tracks from the opening “Waiting” to the Meredith Brooks penned “Everything But You” to the closer “Balsa Wood”. Highlights include the fast paced “Stab”, “Not For You”, “Tobey” and “Everything But You”. Their even pay homage to The Go-Go’s by doing a cover of “Our Lips Are Sealed”.
