CD Review - By Bob

bobsilvestri@bestofwny.com The legendary John & Mary have reformed under the moniker John & Mary & the Valkyries for their latest release titled Peace Bridge. They recorded the thirteen song CD at Sessions Studios in Buffalo with help from Dwane Hall. The gorgeous folk rock sound of the duo is supplemented by the Valkyries a roving band including Pat Kane, Kent Weber, Rob Lynch, Joe Rozler, Nelson Starr and Jerome Augustyniak. Also assisting on some of the tracks are The Steam Donkeys' Charlie Quill, Jackdaw's Davey Moore, Gretchen Schulz, Greg Gizzi, Andrew Case, Kenny Peterson and Armond John Petri to name a few. A few of the outstanding tracks include "Easter", "23 Days", "Johnny and Mary" and "That's Where I Went Wrong". Ramsey's vocals are stellar throughout the disc. A great listen.
