Critically acclaimed Austin, TX band Heartless Bastards have dropped their latest CD titled The Mountain a mix of swamp rock grooves and Dustbowl ballads. Front woman Erika Wennerstrom's vocals will break your heart like Lucinda Williams or stomp on it like Chrissie Hynde. Highlights here are a couple of rockers "Early in the Morning" (not the Eric Clapton version) and "Sway" (not the Rolling Stones version) and the ballad "So Quiet". The tracks "Hold Your Head High" (not the Argent version) and "Witchypoo" are keepers also. You can check them out at www.heartlessbastards.com
