-No Harden Heart- |
By Bob

bobsilvestri@bestofwny.com Another entry into the Christen contemporary format is Dawn Van Name and her CD No Harden Heart. Taking an acoustic country approach to her music Van Name played guitar, wrote and co-produced the disc with Glenn Bernardis (Kilbrannan) on guitar and production help. Also lending a hand are Ted Wiese on drums and Jennifer Betschen on backing vocals. The message of her music is never overbearing in its delivery and the music itself tends to be subtle in its tone. Friendship, love and marriage are some themes addressed on the disc. Tracks of note include “Love Spell”, “I’ll Show My Love” and “Don’t Throw It Away” which rocks behind Bernardis’ guitar playing.
