By Bob Silvestri
bobsilvestri@bestofwny.com Local Emo darlings Cute Is What We Aim For are about to hit the big leagues with their latest release The Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch. Signed by the super hot indie label Fueled By Ramen they are making fans coast to coast with their relentless touring. Most of the songs deal with teenage angst, raging hormones and other facets of teenage life delivered with three chords and emotional vocalization. Hence the Emo music label. The band (Jeff Czum-guitars/piano, Tom Falcone-drums, Fred Cimato-bass/guitar and Shaant-vocals) shine on the tracks “Risqué”, “The Fourth Drink Instinct” and “The Curse Of Curves”. Others of note include “Sweet Talk 101” and “Lyrical Lies”. Check out www.cuteiswhatweaimfor.com and www.fueledbyramen.com for more information. |
