National CD Review - By

bobsilvestri@bestofwny.com The latest from Cowboy Junkies, At the End of Paths Taken, finds the band exploring new shading to their somber music making. Orchestrations and a bent towards the blues bring revitalization to the bands sound. "Brand New World" kicks off the disc with an up tempo sound while the haunting piano sound on "It Doesn't Really Matter Anyway" adds a surprise element. "Spiral Down" and the crunchy guitar sound on "Cutting Board Blues" deserve praise as well. Check out www.cowboyjunkies.com |
