Bareback
Jack, Western New York’s premier Country & Western band, has released
a four song disc titled Bottoms Up. The band, Chris Atkins-guitar/lead
vocals, Paul Belardi-bass, Pete Wilson-drums, Kevin Hatton-pedal steel,
mandolin and banjo, Denny Dunkowski-lead guitar, recorded the disc at Chameleonwest
Studios with Ed Hallborg at the controls. Bareback Jack is not just some
line dancing cover band. These guys are some serious musicians which is
evident on the disc and especially their live shows. All four songs on
Bottoms Up are written Atkins, Belardi and Wilson and include “Money To
Burn”, If It Ain’t Broke (I’ll Break It)”, the title track “Bottoms Up”
and “Dead Man’s Boots” which the band dedicates to the late Chris LeDoux.
All track feature some exquisite playing and pickin’ from both Hatton and
Dunkowski. Wilson’s drumming adds a powerful touch as well. For more on
