Alison Pipitone has been making great records now for years and her latest Tigerbabies is no different. This time Pipitone is backed by her stellar band of longtime drummer Pat Shaughnessy, bassist Rebecca Mercurio and Graham Howes on guitars. Rob Lynch, Sheila Connors, Jim Whitford, Jim Ehinger, Dwane Hall, Will Holton and others lend a hand here. One of the area’s most dynamic performers and songwriters her melodic tunes are filled with fuzzy, ringing guitars and driving rhythms but are upbeat considering the lyrical angst and pathos.
