Hamburg,
NY native and Buffalo Music Hall of Fame member Peter Case has been a true
American troubadour for over three decades and is paid tribute on a sprawling
three CD set titled A Case For Case. Hungry For Music a non profit organization
in Washington, D.C. that supplies musical instruments to under privileged
kids in the D.C. area, has gathered some impressive talent to honor our
own native son. National and up and coming artists and their song choice
include Joe Ely(Put Down the Gun), Dave Alvin(On My Way Downtown), John
Prine(Space Monkey), Tom Russell(A Little Wind) and Steve Wynn(Million
Miles Away) to name a few. Other highlights come from Hayes Carll (Beyond
the Blues), Bob Neuwirth (Power, Lust and Money) Susan Cowsill (Honeychild)
and Last Train Home (Baltimore).Fellow Buffalo Music Hall of Fame member
Gurf Morlix (Evening Raga) and the Mark Winsick Band (Rise and Shine) featuring
two members of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Jim Whitford and Dwane Hall
are featured on the CD providing ample local representation. Peter case
contributes a new live cut as well with a version of “Beyond The Blues”.
