“Somebody Save Me” |
By Bob Silvestri
bobsilvestri@bestofwny.com The sophomore slump is nowhere to be found on Seven Day Faith’s second CD “Somebody Save Me”. “Ready 2 Go” kicks off the CD with loud guitars and rock solid drums for a propulsive sound. “Two Sides”, with its arena rock sound, is a track cut from the Bon Jovi mold. The power ballad, “Forever And A Day” is the first single and is receiving local radio play. Other power ballad type songs include “Nobody Else” and “You Don’t Love Me Anymore”. The title song, “Somebody Save Me” with its catchy seesaw melody and chorus is a great sounding track. “Song And Dance Man” with its shimmering guitar sound is another good track. “Firecracker”, “You’re Not Always On My Mind”, “Sucker For A Pretty Face” and “I Won’t Forget You” round out the disc. Also included is the song “Everything” from their first CD. While “Everything” is a good song a better choice would have been “Perfect For Me” also from the first disc, a far superior song that I still think could be a big hit for the band. David ST. Onge who also recorded, mixed and mastered the CD impeccably produced “Somebody Save Me”. To keep track of Seven Day Faith go to www.sevendayfaith.com |
